ABOUT BRIGHT HOPE INSTITUTE

BHI is a local Cambodian Government approved institution that provides primary, secondary and tertiary educational services to rural Cambodians in Kampong Chhnang Province, Kingdom of Cambodia. The Bright Hope Institute began operating in September 2006 offering specialized tertiary education in Community Enterprise, Agriculture and Rural Development, Business Management, Public Administration and Education Management. During the following years it developed primary and secondary education as well. In 2016 the BHI offers education to almost 1000 students.

VISION

BHI’s Vision is that all Cambodians have access to a qualitative education to achieve a stable living standard. With the acquired skills students shall have the opportunity to contribute to the development of Cambodia as an important country in the International Community.

MISSION

BHI’s Mission is to improve the education and the living conditions of the children and youth in Kompong Chhnang Province by providing access to education and several training opportunities as well as development programs especially for the benefit of poor people in the community.

PRACTICAL APPROACH

The BHI provides scholarships and dormitory accommodation to enable rural youth, especially females, from vulnerable families to access higher education.

Furthermore the BHI supports the students who successfully completed their studies by seeking and creating employment opportunities for them.

The BHI also engages in enhancing different community projects in rural Kompong Chhnang Province in order to empower those rural communities to establish Farmer Cooperatives, Community Enterprises and Community Credit Unions. Within the context of these projects, the BHI encourages its students to put their knowledge into practice by linking development theory with real-world experiences in the field.
